The cast iron gate spud is made from solid cast iron which provides a lifetime solution to hanging a gate in concrete. Regardless of a farm gates length it will suit it. Made from electro plated heavy duty steel it is able to hang gates off any size post or concrete wall. There is 4 versions available # horizontal top or bottom and vertical top or bottom. The flat steel plate is 150mm x 45mm with 2 holes in each. Hanging gates on your farm should be done with the appropriate tools and knowledge. Ensure the posts are sturdy and they are deep enough into the ground as frost can affect them. If your post is strong it will also prevent the gate from sagging. Wear protective clothing and footwear when you are installing the gate and use the appropriate tools to ensure it is fitted correctly.
