Golden Gourmet is originally from the Netherlands and originally is the most-famous shallot variety with yellow skin colour. It is a major advance on the traditional variety 'Giant Yellow'. Golden Gourmet is medium-early and produces round shallots with strong, golden-yellow skin. The variety can be grown on any soil type, loves full sun and is suitable for short-term storage. They store well throughout the winter. Plant during Spring from Feb-April and harvest June-August.
