Sorrel is a hardy perennial herb known for its health benefits and culinary versatility. This herb thrives year after year, making it a reliable addition to your garden. Ideal for adding a zesty flavor to salads and soups, sorrel is also rich in Vitamin C and can be cooked like spinach. Sow thinly from March to May in finely raked, warm, moist soil, and begin harvesting from June to October in the first year. In subsequent years, you can enjoy fresh sorrel from April to October. Regularly pick the leaves to encourage young, tasty new growth and remove any flower heads to increase leaf production.
