The Carbery green rectangular oil tank is suitable to install within a suitably bunded area or where a secondary tank is not required. The tank is low maintenance and is protected against rust as it is made from premium quality corrosion resistant materials. Sunlight can damage the contents of the tank but the strong plastic is lined with UV protection in order to avoid this. All materials are fully recyclable and it is a single skin making it lightweight without reducing its toughness or durability. This tank is fully lockable for security and protection of fuels and oils. With built in inspection and fill points for ease of use it helps you when you are filling the tank and keeping check of content levels. The 2 diameter fuel tank vent is a vital safety feature that allows the contents of the tank to be safely stored at all temperatures and environmental conditions. Bunded oil tanks are the safest and most secure method of storing oil. This oil tank must be installed and maintained in line with the current OFTEC (Oil Firing Technical Association) guidelines. The ground where the tank is should be of adequate weight when the tank is full and constructed of concrete, paving stones or stonework. All Carbery tanks are EN certified. The tank should be sited away from any source of heat or potential ignition. Oil may drip from the tank or the hose when it is been refilled so a drip-tray or wall surrounding the tank should be in place. In the event of a spillage or leakage do not smoke in the vicinity and do not try to disperse the oil with water. Do not let any petroleum product enter a drain or a watercourse.
