The Philmac Normal Gauge Ball Valve is a type of fitting manufactured by Philmac, a company known for producing high-quality fittings that are WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved. These fittings are made from high-performance thermoplastic materials, offering exceptional impact, UV, chemical, and corrosion resistance.
One of the notable features of Philmac fittings is their Slide & Tighten technology. This technology eliminates the need for pipe preparation or excessive force to push the pipe past the seal during installation. The process is fast and simple: insert the required liner if applicable, then insert the pipe into the fitting. The nut is first tightened by hand and then with a wrench.
The dynamic sealing method used in Philmac fittings ensures a secure and reliable connection. As the nut is tightened, the thread compresses the seal into position, eliminating any resistance when inserting the pipe into the fitting. This eliminates the risk of seal distortion or displacement, ensuring a leak-free connection.
