A plant from the Herbaceous Alpine range is the ideal plant to add a splash of colour to your garden. The herbaceous Alpine plants are popular due to their relatively small size. Often low-growing and mat forming they make ideal edging plants or ground cover. Many varieties can be grown in a small area. If you feel you don't have sufficient soil in your garden, these plants can be easily grown in pots or planters along with raised beds. Herbaceous plants will die into the ground each year but the roots remain for continued new growth each following year. The herbaceous alpine range will grow between 30 - 70cm. Herbaceous plants are all pollinator plants and are great for bees. Once these alpine plants bloom, they give a beautiful fragrance to your garden, along with beautiful colouring. We have the following Herbaceous Alpines for you to choose from. 

1. Achillea 'Pomegranate: Rich red flowers, blooming over a long period in June and July. This outstanding compact plant is sturdy and full in habit with disease resistance. The Achillea attracts pollinators. Plant in full sun and dry, well-drained soil. This plant will grow to a maximum height of 70cm.

2. Heliotropium Blue: Vanilla scented plant with deep purple flowers that will bloom from early summer to autumn. This plant has continuous flowering, attracts pollinators and is perfect for container planting and patios. The Heliotropism Blue will gow to a maximum height of 50cm.

3.Leucanthemum 'Laspider': Pure white double flowers with finely cut petals and a yellow centre above dark green foliage. This plant will Flower from early summer to autumn. The Leucanthemum attracts pollinators, is short and compact; likes a sunny position in well-drained soil and will grow to a maximum height of 30cm.

4.Osteospermum 'Blue Eyed Beauty': Produces lots of yellow daisy like flowers with blue centres which will bloom from spring right through summer. The Osteospemum attracts pollinators, loves full sun and well-drained soil. This blue eyed beauty will grow to a maximum height of 30cm.

5.Rudbeckia 'Goldstrum': Deep, golden yellow flower heads with black conical centres. The Rudbeckia goldstrum attracts pollinators, flowers from late Summer into Autumn. Loves full sun and moist soil. This plant is beautiful in a mixed border and will grow to a maximum height of 75cm.
