Closamectin Cattle and Sheep Injection is an injectable solution for the treatment and control of fluke, roundworms, trematodes, lungworms, warbles, mites and lice in cattle and sheep. Containing 5 mg closantel per kg bodyweight (1 ml per 25 kg) it is a strong solution that requires two injection sites if exceeding a 10ml dose rate. Closamectin should be injected under the skin, into the neck using a dry sterile needle and syringe whilst observing aseptic technique. For the 500 ml pack sizes using a multiple dose syringe is recommended. Establish a personalised dosing programme by working with your veterinary surgeon. Tissue swellings at the injection site are common up to 48 hours after injection which should resolve thereafter without additional treatment. Closamectin Injection is safe to use for cattle and sheep at any stage of pregnancy or lactation, provided their milk is not intended for human consumption. Not permitted for use in lactating cows or sheep producing milk for human consumption. The witdrawal period for edible tissue for sheep is 28 days and cattle 49 days.
