Specially hardened steel gives the REISSER R2 screw the recognized tensile and torsional strength. The deep sharply rolled thread and the cylindrical shape prevents splitting and gives greater retention. The hardened head is manufactured with REISSER # RECESS to grip immediately without spinning, it also means that the screw can be removed easily.
