Goodbye Christmas Trees

by Malachy - Horticulturist CountryLife Dungarvan | Jan 06, 2016

Goodbye Christmas TreeBy now many people will be starting to take down their Christmas trees and packing away their decorations for another year. One of the big questions now will be what do I do with my Christmas tree? You can take them to your local authority that will shred and recycle them. Or if you want to find a use for it at home you could bring it out into the garden and use it as a climbing frame for sweet pea, legumes or even nasturtiums. I have done this before and found them to be the perfect frame for these kinds of plants to grow up and when the tree is covered in the plant it can look very impressive.
