Mum’s Top Tip

by CountryLife Gardening | Jun 05, 2015

Drying lavenderAs many people will know lavender is a great flower for drying and maintains its shape and colour very well during the process.

By simply cutting the flowers, tying them together and then suspending upside down in a warm place (hot presses work very well) you will have lavender brunches for around the house.

My mum used to use little muslin bags and fill them with dried flowers and place them in drawers to keep moths away from clothes. It also leaves a delicate fragrance on clothes which can be a bonus if you enjoy the scent.
