Aster Care Tips

by User Not Found | Jul 31, 2014

Our August plant of the month is Aster and Jean has a few tips for you on how to take care of your flowers so they will last through the autumn.

  • Asters grow in densely packed clusters reaching a height of around 15 inches.
  • They are best suited to sunny or partially shaded spots and require little maintenance
  • Dividing the clumps every 2-3 years in will ensure continued healthy growth.
  • They flower from late summer into late autumn, so are ideal for adding colour to your containers or boarders once the earlier flowing plants are done
  • These are also ideal flowers for cutting and will last a long time once cut.
